Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to the EU, H.E. Mr. Soe Lynn Han attended the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC) Meeting 2/2020 at the Philippines Embassy in Brussels on 27 February 2020.
H.E. Mr. Soe Lynn Han briefed the ABC attendees of the coordination meeting with DASE, the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) of the European Parliament on the envisaged visit of DASE members to Myanmar in May 2020, held in Strasbourg, France as well as latest developments of the case filed by the Gambia against Myanmar at the International Court of Justice. The discussions by ABC Ambassadors and representatives covered, according to the agenda, recent developments in the ASEAN community such as ASEAN-New Zealand SOM, Special Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on COVID-19, ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting, recent developments in ASEAN-EU relations such as ASEAN-EU Senior Officials’ Meeting, 2nd ASEAN-EU High-Level Dialogue on Sustainable Development, Coordination meeting in Strasbourg, France on the envisaged DASE visit to Myanmar and Thailand, as well as the ABC activities for the first half of 2020.
