Ambassador H.E. U Soe Lynn Han attended the ASEAN Brussels Committee (ABC) Meeting which was held via videoconference on 28 January 2021.
The meeting started with the opening remarks delivered by Ambassador of Vietnam as the chair of ABC. During the meeting, ABC members exchanged views on the situation and control of COVID-19 in ASEAN countries. Myanmar Ambassador briefed the experiences of Myanmar as well as measures taken by Myanmar Government regarding the control and prevention of COVID-19. He also discussed the possible implications it can have on the EU’s contribution towards the developing countries under the planned WHO’s COVAX Facility due to the delivery delays of the COVID -19 vaccines in the EU countries.
