Myanmar Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union, H.E. U Soe Lynn Han attended the Roundtable discussion on the “Advancing ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership”

Ambassador H.E. U Soe Lynn Han, Myanmar Ambassador to Belgium and the European Union has participated in the Roundtable discussion on the “Advancing ASEAN-EU Strategic Partnership” as part of the celebration of the 45th Anniversary of the ASEAN-EU Relations which was held on 30-9-2022 in the Hotel, Brussels, Belgium.
In the roundtable discussion, Cambodian Ambassador H.E. Mr. Nong Sakal, current Chairman of ASEAN-Brussels Committee (ABC) and Thailand Ambassador H.E. Sek Wannamethee delivered remarks. The discussion was divided into three sessions:- Green and sustainable growth; Connectivity and Sustainable Trade and Supply Chain Resilience respectively.
All three sessions were moderated by ASEAN Ambassadors-Ambassador of Thailand, Ambassador of Malaysia and Ambassador of Vietnam. The high-level senior officials from EU institutions discussed the respective sessions followed by intervention made by ASEAN Ambassadors and question and answers session.
Ambassador H.E. U Soe Lynn Han has responded to the speakers and made intervention for Session I: green and sustainable growth. In his intervention, Myanmar, as a country which has ratified most major multilateral environment agreements, aims to achieve a significant reduction of CO2 emission by 2030 predicted under the BAU (Business as Usual) scenario. Myanmar’s total emissions reductions and contributions subject to exceeding of the targeted reductions with the international cooperation, financial and technical supports. Regardless of international cooperation, Myanmar will try to exert efforts to achieve its target aims for reduction of CO2 emission by 2030.
The purpose of the roundtable discussion is to exchange the views between ASEAN Ambassadors and the EU institutions on topics of mutual interest and to updates and explore the opportunities and challenges in advancing the ASEAN-EU Strategic partnership going forward. Responsible officials from the European Council, European Commission, European Parliament, European External Action Services and from ASEAN embassies and other countries in Brussels, ASEANCHAM-EU and Think-tank and invited guests attended the roundtable discussion.

အဆိုပါဆွေးနွေးပွဲ၌ အာဆီယံဘရပ်ဆဲလ်ကော်မတီ (ABC) အလှည့်ကျဥက္ကဋ္ဌ တာဝန်ယူထားသည့် ကမ္ဘောဒီးယားနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီး H.E. Mr. Nong Sakal နှင့် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီး H.E. Mr. Sek Wannamethee တို့က အဖွင့်အမှာစကား အသီးအသီးပြောကြားခဲ့ကြပြီး ဆွေးနွေးပွဲကို အပိုင်း (၃) ပိုင်းခွဲ၍ ပြုလုပ်ခဲ့ပါသည်။ ပထမပိုင်းဖြစ်သည့် အစိမ်းရောင်နှင့် စဉ်ဆက် မပြတ်ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု “Green and sustainable growth” ၊ ဒုတိယပိုင်းဖြစ်သည့် ပေါင်းစည်းဆက်သွယ်မှု ‘Connectivity’ နှင့် တတိယပိုင်းဖြစ်သည့် စဉ်ဆက်မပြတ် ကုန်သွယ်မှုနှင့် ထောက်ပံ့ဖြည့်တင်းရေး ကွင်းဆက်၏ ပြန်လည်ရုန်းထနိုင်စွမ်း “Sustainable Trade and Supply Chain Resilience” တို့အပေါ် အလေးထား ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ကြပါသည်။
ဆွေးနွေးပွဲတွင် အာဆီယံနိုင်ငံသံရုံးများမှ သံအမတ်ကြီးများဖြစ်သည့် ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီး၊ မလေးရှားနိုင်ငံ သံအမတ်ကြီးနှင့် ဗီယက်နမ်နိုင်ငံသံအမတ်ကြီးတို့က moderators များအဖြစ် ဆောင်ရွက်ခဲ့ကြပြီး အီးယူအဖွဲ့အစည်းများမှ အဆင့်အမြင့် အရာရှိကြီးများနှင့် ပညာရှင်များက သက်ဆိုင်ရာကဏ္ဍအလိုက် ဆွေးနွေးပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
မြန်မာသံအမတ်ကြီးအနေဖြင့်လည်း ဆွေးနွေးပွဲ ပထမပိုင်းဖြစ်သည့် အစိမ်းရောင်နှင့် စဉ်ဆက် မပြတ်ဖွံ့ဖြိုးတိုးတက်မှု အပိုင်းတွင် ဝင်ရောက်ဆွေးနွေးခဲ့ရာတွင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံသည် မူဝါဒ၊ မူဘောင်နှင့် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ဆိုင်ရာ အဓိက နိုင်ငံတကာစာချုပ်များကို လက်မှတ်ရေးထိုး အတည်ပြုထားခြင်းတို့ကြောင့် BAU (Business as Usual) scenario အရ ခန့်မှန်းထားသည့် ကာဗွန်ဒိုင်အောက်ဆိုဒ် ထုတ်လွှတ်နိုင်မှုကို ၂၀၃၀ ပြည့်နှစ်တွင် လျှော့ချနိုင်မည်ဟု မျှော်မှန်းထားပါကြောင်း၊ နိုင်ငံတကာ၏ ပူးပေါင်းဆောင်ရွက်မှု၊ ဘဏ္ဍာရေးနှင့် နည်းပညာဆိုင်ရာ အထောက်အပံ့များရရှိပါက ရည်မှန်းချက်ထက်ကျော်လွန်၍ ကာဗွန်ဒိုင်အောက်ဆိုဒ် ထုတ်လွှတ်မှု လျှော့ချနိုင်မည်ဖြစ်ပါကြောင်း၊ သို့ရာတွင် နိုင်ငံတကာမှ ငွေကြေးနှင့် နည်းပညာအထောက်အပံ့များ ရရှိခြင်းမရှိပါကလည်း မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအနေဖြင့် မိမိတို့ မျှော်မှန်းထားသည့်အတိုင်း ၂၀၃၀ ခုနှစ်တွင် ကာဗွန်ဒိုင်အောက်ဆိုဒ် လျော့ချနိုင်ရေးကို အစွမ်းကုန်ဆောင်ရွက်သွားမည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းစသည်ဖြင့် ပြောကြားခဲ့ပါသည်။
ယင်းစကားဝိုင်းဆွေးနွေးပွဲသည် အာဆီယံ သံအမတ်ကြီးများနှင့် အီးယူအဖွဲ့အစည်းများမှ တာဝန်ရှိသူများအကြား mutual interest ဘာသာရပ်များအပေါ် ၌ အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်နိုင်ရေး နှင့် အာဆီယံ-အီးယူ မဟာဗျူဟာမြောက် ဆက်ဆံရေးမြှင့်တင်မှုကို ရှေးရှုရာ၌ ကြုံတွေ့နိုင်သည့် စိန်ခေါ်မှုများနှင့် အခွင့် အလမ်းများကို ရှာဖွေနိုင်မှုရေးအပေါ် အမြင်ချင်းဖလှယ်သွားရန် ရည်ရွယ်ချက်ဖြင့် ကျင်းပပြုလုပ်ခြင်းဖြစ်ပါသည်။ စကားဝိုင်းသို့ ဥရောပကောင်စီ၊ ဥရောပကော်မရှင်၊ ဥရောပပါလီမန်၊ ဥရောပသမဂ္ဂ ပြည်ပဆက်ဆံရေးဌာန (EEAS) တို့မှ တာဝန်ရှိသူများ၊ ဘရပ်ဆဲလ်မြို့ အခြေစိုက် အာဆီယံနိုင်ငံသံရုံးများမှ သံရုံး အကြီးအကဲများနှင့် တာဝန်ခံအရာရှိများနှင့် နိုင်ငံတကာသံရုံးများမှ သံအမတ်ကြီးများ၊ ASEANCHAM-EU နှင့် အခြား အာဆီယံ-အီးယူ နှစ်နိုင်ငံဆက်ဆံရေးနှင့် စပ်လျဉ်းသည့် think-tank အဖွဲ့အစည်းများမှ ပညာရှင်များနှင့် အခြားဖိတ်ကြားထားသော ဧည့်သည်တော်များ တက်ရောက်ခဲ့ကြကြောင်း သိရှိရပါသည်။
