State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi receives Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Philippines
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received Mr. Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr., Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines, who is on an official visit to Myanmar to attend the third Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation between Myanmar and the Philippines at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 22 May 2019 at 3:00 p.m.
During the meeting, the State Counsellor and the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines discussed various issues on promoting bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. They also exchanged views on consolidating cooperation for the benefit of both countries and extending mutual support at the regional and international fora in the areas of mutual interest.
Also present at the meeting were U Kyaw Tin, Union Minister for International Cooperation, Senior Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Philippines Ambassador to Myanmar and senior officials from the Philippines.
