Daw Le Le Win, spouse of Myanmar Ambassador to Belgium, hosted the annual meeting of the Asia Pacific Women’s Association (APWA) in virtual format on 29 January 2021 in her capacity as the Interim President of APWA which is consisted of the Spouses of the Heads of Missions from the Asia Pacific countries based in Brussels.
During the meeting, the Interim President of APWA Daw Le Le Win delivered opening remarks. Then First Secretary Daw May Myat Noe Naing presented “A virtual tour to Myanmar” highlighting top tourist attractions in Myanmar to ease the mind of the members amidst COVID-19 travel restrictions.
Next, Daw Le Le Win handed over the duties and responsibilities of the President of APWA to the Executive Committee Members of APWA, who will carry out those duties until the situation concerning COVID-19 permits in-person meetings to conduct elections for the President of APWA for the year 2021
Present at the meeting were the Executive Committee members, regular members and new members of APWA.
