Myanmar has been trying to enhance its business environment by implementing five initiatives. Those initiatives are made in the area of construction quality control and investment in water and sanitation infrastructure, creation of online company registration platform, faster property registration, performance measurement, minority investor protections and greater corporate transparency enhanced by a new Myanmar Company Law.
In a highlight, through a new online company registration portal/system known as “MyCO,” both domestic and foreign investors can undergo the company registration process in a timely and efficient manner thereby reducing unnecessary documentations and costs of doing business in Myanmar.
